Eliza's Birthday & Baptism day!

On April 28th our little Eliza Jane turned 8. Wow! How is it that I feel like I'm still 20 and I already have a 8 year old. It just doesn't add up! We ended up celebrating Eliza's birthday on the 29th so Joe could be home for the festivities. Here's Eliza all grown up!Sitting pretty with her packages. She got some new clothes from mom and dad and I guess she liked them so much so thought to give them a hug!Eliza has been asking for a real bunny for years and this is as close to a real one as I could get her at this point. Maybe someday soon we'll have a real bunny but for now she had to settle for a FurReal one! When I asked her what kind of cake she wanted she thought for a second and then said a pink monkey. Here's what I came up with! All lit up!You always have to get a "blowing out the candles" picture, right?!
On May 1st Eliza was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She looked beautiful in her dress and we are so proud of her in making this decision. Eliza is such a fun, sweet, energetic, imaginative, caring, smart, pretty, goofy, silly, happy girl and we love her so much. I'm so blessed to have her as my daughter and I'm looking forward to the next 8 years with my Eliza!Eliza and her daddy just before being baptized. The proud parents.Eliza with her Grandpa Mauery, Grandpa Haeberle, and daddy!

After her baptism the whole family went to the fire station and had banana splits. It was fun and yummy! Thank you to eveyone who came and supported Eliza on her big day and we missed all of you who couldn't make it!
